As part of our year-long
school feeding programme, the Noluthando Day Care Centre has just received its August food supplies. At the wholesaler,
we bought staple foods such as sugar, maize flour and rice in 10-kilo sacks. With butternut squash, potatoes, carrots, onions and pears from the greengrocer, our car was finally packed to the brim.
When we arrived in Noluthando, we would have liked to hand over our purchases to the children straight away. However, it was bedtime at that time. So by the time the children woke up, the shopping had already been put away – and the food prepared.
